What information is Kwikee® gathering?

INFORMATION PROVIDED BY YOU
When an "end-user" (retailer, printer, newspaper, etc.) is granted privileges to the Kwikee® site, we ask them for generic information (including company name, contact name, title, e-mail address, telephone number, etc.).

AUTOMATIC INFORMATION
Kwikee® also receives and stores, in the form of "cookies," certain types of information whenever a user interacts with our site. Cookies are used in shopping carts to build a list of the images and/or information that you want to download. When you select an image for download, the server sets a cookie in your browser to keep track of what you have in your shopping cart and to remember you. Cookies contain only the information that the user submits. (The information you are submitting is what images you want to download.) The cookies contain no other information. Cookies do not have the ability to gather any other information about the computer, the network or the user's browsing habits. Cookies cannot browse through a computer's hard drive looking for information and cannot be used to transmit a computer virus.


How is this information used?

AUTHENTICATE USERS
First, we use this information as a pre-screening process to make sure the user qualifies for access to the site (the user must be in the U.S., not intending on incorporating the image into a proprietary software program for resale, etc.).

TRACK USAGE/DEMONSTRATE PROGRAM EFFECTIVENESS
Usage patterns on the web site are tracked to show our manufacturers (paying clients) who has been downloading their product images as a "proof of usage" concept.

SOLICIT FEEDBACK
Information gathered is also used at a later time to contact users to let them know when a new manufacturer has joined our system, or perhaps ask them to test a new product development feature, etc.
